Statement of Issue, Recommendation, Analysis, Funding Source, Alternative Actions: Statement of Issue: The City Council authorized the Purchasing Officer to solicit proposals from professional engineers for the preparation of plans , specifications and engineer ' s estimate for the construction of traffic signals at various locations . Recommended Action: Authorize execution of the attached profession,..-. service agreement between the City of Huntington Beach and Weston Pringle and Associates for the design of traffic signals at seven locations . Analysis : The proposal summary sheet (attached) is a listing of the proposals separated into two groups . Group A Group B 1. Slater & Gothard 1. Atlanta and Newland 2 . Slater & Newland 2 . roldemaest & Norma 3 . Talbert & Gothard 3 . Goldenwest & Palm 4 . Edwards & Slater Group A are those locations which will be funded through the Arterial Highway Financing Program (A.H.F. P . ) . Group E will be financed through the use of gas tax. Funding Source: Group A- 50% A.H .F .P. 50% Gas Tax Group B- 100% Gas Tax This engineering work in the amount of $6 , 550 has been encumbered in FY 1977-78 .
