NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants and agreements herein contained, being done and performed by the parties hereto, it M is hereby agreed as follows: I. By my signature hereunder, as Contractor, I certify that I am aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the .Labor Code which require every employer to be insured against liability for workmen's compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of that code, and I will comply with such provisions before commencing the performance of the work of this contract. Contractor agrees to receive and accept as full compenaa- tion for furnishing all materials and for doing all the work ' contemplated and embraced in this agreement, the unit prices = Contractor submitted in his Proposal which was accepted by the City f Council. The following is a summary of the contract cost data: original Contract Bid $59,077.00 Change in Bid Quantities 372.75 Change Order Amount 4,280.40 Total Contract Price 63,730.15 By previous Council action the changes in bid quantities were approved November 15, 1976, increasing the contract amount to $59,449.75 There were two Change. Orders required to completa the work. Change Order No. X which added no cost to the contract. Change Order No. 2 was due to a change in Alternate B, Item 1, clearing and grading including 12,580 s.y. of ec.npaction and application of 12,S30 s.y. asphalt emulsion. Due to an error in the plans and speci- fications, an increase of 1,740 s.y. at $2.46 was required to complete the work and increased the contract amount an additional $4,280.40. The additional charges necessary to complete the contract payments will be financed from Gas Tax funds.
