Funding Source: Not Applicable Recommended Action: Motion to: 1. Approve the reappointments of Dionne Cox, Donald Lewis and Ben Miles, each for a second term effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2013. Alternative Action(s): Do not make reappointments to the Library Board of Trustees at this time, and request further review by the Council liaisons. REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION MEETING DATE: 6/15/2009 DEPARTMENT ID NUMBER: LS 09-03 Analysis: The terms of Dionne Cox, Donald Lewis and Ben Miles will expire on June 30, 2009. Ms. Cox, Mr. Lewis and Mr. Miles each have requested reappointment to the Library Board of Trustees. Attached is the communication from Ms. Cox, Mr. Lewis and Mr. Miles requesting reappointment to another term. Council Members Gil Coerper and Joseph Carchio recommend the reappointments of Dionne Cox, Donald Lewis and Ben Miles for their last four-year terms effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2013. Strategic Plan Goal: Improve internal and external communication — Increase community involvement, dialogue, and outreach by educating residents about opportunities for involvement such as how to donate to projects, volunteer, access information, and offer opinions through the website and other means.
