Alternative Action(s) : Do not approve appointments to the Community Services Commission and direct staff on how to proceed. Item 4. - 1 HB -80- REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION MEETING DATE: 11/5/2012 DEPARTMENT ID NUMBER: CS 12-011 Analysis: We are in receipt of the School District recommendations from Ocean View School District to appoint Norm Westwell, Trustee and Community Member as its representative to replace Dr. Allan Pogrund who has resigned from the Commission. We have also received a letter of recommendation from the Westminster School District to appoint Dr. David Hubbard as their representative. Two at -large positions are also in need of appointment with a term ending 6/30112, Staff has forwarded applications to the Community Services Commission Council Liaisons for consideration. Once a decision has been reached, the Council Liaison recommendations will be brought to City Council for approval. He has previously served two terms in this capacity and is eager to assume the responsibility for another term. Dr. Hubbard has been employed by the Westminster School District for eleven years and resides within the city of Huntington Beach.
