DEPARTMENT ID NUMBERED 00-33
Analysis: The Redevelopment Agency has instructed the Economic Development
Department to negotiate an Owner Participation Agreement with the Ezralow Company for
the purpose of redeveloping Huntington Center. In order to properly evaluate the financial
decisions that the Agency will have to determine as it negotiates this agreement, the Agency
staff will need to determine the value of the properties and the contents of these properties
not already owned by Ezralow. This also includes any long-term leases. The Agency is
already in the process of performing real estate appraisals of the Montgomery Wards and the
Burlington Coat Factory stores. This Request for Agency Action, if authorized, would initiate
the appraisal of the contents (fixtures and equipment) of these stores.
