1 rl A ADDENDUM TO CONTWT 4( U"HEREAS, the City of Huntington Bench and the Hunting- ton Beach Humane Society entered into an agreement dated February 9, 1968 and each party mutually desires to amend said agreement, NOW, THEREFORE, CIT'c and SOCIETY do hereby inutiaally agree to amend that certain agreement hereinabove referred to as follows: :i.. CITY hereby agrees to increase the feetj for im- pounding animals by amending the applicable provisions of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code by Ordinance No. 1555. 2. SOCIETY hereby agrees as follows: (a) To establish and maintain a system of accounting procedures approved by the Finance Director of C7TY. (b) To provide for night service or on -call humane officers on a seven-day week, twenty-four hour per day basis. (c) To equip all vehicle: used by the shelter in the City of Huntington Beach with radio equipment so that such vehicles may be dispatched while in the field. (d) To make certain improvements to the animal shelter hs3 follows and in accordance with the ;schedule of completion as noted: PHASE I: All work to be completed not latter than Jul, 1, 1g70. Install 6--foot vertical rail fence, approximately 72 lineal feet at north boundary line of' property Repaint. building, including roof Repaint existing block wall Add rough *awed fascias as :indicated in sketches, Exhibits Iarid II Stucco existing metal Doritions of building PHASE II: All work to be completed not later than De6ember. 1, 1970. Parking Area: install lanlssraping, including irrigation, install curbs, put asphalt paving in parking area, Including striping. PHASE III: All work to be Completed not later than July 1, 1971. Ing the said periods preceding each such payment date. 3. Society shall collect all monks bn behalf of the City of Huntington Beach and deposit them with the Director of Finance in the Animal Control. Fund and then the Director of Finance shall pay to Society out of the Animal Control Fund, an amount equivalent to ninety percent (90%) thereof as mentioned in paragreph 2 on or before the loth day of each month. ► , Society agrees and undertakes to perform all the powers and duties conferred and imposed upon the Deputy Animal Control Officer for the term of this contract. 3.
