A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO MODIFY THE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT PLAN
OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on September 15, 2014 the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach ("City
Council") adopted Resolution Number 2014-72 adopting the Management District Plan and
establishing the Huntington Beach Tourism Business Improvement District ("HBTBID"); and
WHEREAS,the Property and Business Improvement District Law of 1994, Streets and Highways
Code §36600 et seq., allows the City to modify the Management District Plan ("MDP") at the
request of the owners' association; and
WHEREAS, the HBTBID owners' association, Visit Huntington Beach ("VHB"), has requested
modification of the MDP.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THAT:
I. The recitals set forth herein are true and correct.
2. The City Council declares its intention to modify the HBTBID MDP.
3. The proposed modification of the HBTBID MDP will modify the term of the district. The
current term of the district is five (5) years, effective through September 31, 2019. The
modified HBTBID shall have a term of four (4) years and three (3) months, ending on
January 31, 2019.
4. The time and place for a public hearing on modification of the HBTBID MDP are set for
6:00 PM or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on January 21, 2019 at 2000 Main
Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.
5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a Regular meeting thereof held on November 19, 2018 by the following vote:
