The existing businesses, fronting on this section of public sidewalk, completed their building improvements some years past and the Standard Market is now demolished with improvements to be forth coming in the very future. The Committee believes this remaining section of sidewalk from the Standard Market to the Pier must be replaced for an overall short term improvement to an otherwise unpleasant and aesthetically unacceptable public pedestrian passageway. In the future, the remainir g improvements to both the east and west sides of Main Street will be accomplished per the Council adopted Master Plan for Main Street.
