HomeMy WebLinkAboutUtility Yard Facility Improvement Project - Overview presenTimeline to Date ® 2003 ° Public Works reorganization combined the Wastewater, Storm Drain, and Water Division, creating the Utility Division. ° All Staff and equipment "housed" at Utility Yard requiring the use of portable trailers. ° Insufficient room for "all hands" meeting, safety training, etc. • 2007 • City Council budgeted funds for design from the Water Fund and Sewer Fund. ® 2008 • City Council budgeted partial funds for construction. • DRB approved project. ■ 2009 • Plans submitted to various departments for plan check. ■ Public Works Commission recommended project to Council in June. Overview of Improvements • 11,000 s.f. Distribution and Meter Building ' 6,700 s.f. Operations Building • 1,000 s.f. expansion of existing Production Building • T.I. of existing Administration Building • Covered parking for equipment. • Relocation of existing bulk material storage and fluoride tanks.
