City Council Budget Update February 1 S 1 ► Projecting a $4 million revenue shortfall for FY 2009/10 ► Losses in triple flip revenue, So Cal Gas franchise, utility tax, interest income and parking revenue ► Departments have submitted reductions equal 2.14% of the budget in order to meet the current known shortfall of $4 million City Council 'Budget Update February 1 9 2010 ► We will present a more detailed discussion on the current budget and the Five-Year Financial Plan at the February 16, 2010 Study Session ► Five-Year Plan challenge for FY 2010/1 1 budget is $6.3 million ► Employee bargaining groups are actively working on strategies to reduce costs
