The resolution
regarding eradication of indiscriminate terrorism
The series of terrorist that attacked the head of the United States of America
on September 11th took more than 6,000 precious lives from over 60 countries.
These extremely vicious acts of violence have been unparallel in history and
can never be forgiven. We are strongly outranged by these acts which tried to
destroy peace and democracy.
We would like to express oux sincere condolences for the victims and their
bereaved families, *as well as our heartfelt sympathies to the people of the
United States and to all who have suffered.
This incident was an indiscriminate terrorism that involved the general
public irrespective of nationality and also a serious challenge to fundamental
human rights and liberalistic society.
The Anjo City Council strongly demands that the Japanese government, and
the nations of all over the world assemble the human sagacity and construct
international outline in order that such vicious acts should never be repeated
and the world keeps peace and stability.
The above is resolved by the Aujo City Council on September 27, 2001.

DATE: September 26, 2001
Issue
The horrific acts of September 11, 2001 have left us stunned and saddened. Our
future is uncertain as President Bush grapples with the issues and begins to take
actions in defense of our nation and our community. In light of these events, I felt
it appropriate to bring forward a resolution first adopted by the Executive
Committee of the United States Conference of Mayors for consideration by our
City Council. I believe that this resolution summarizes our community's desire to
support and applaud the untiring diligence of all those involved in the rescue
effort, and to show support for President Bush, the Congress, and all of those
elected officials currently in leadership at this time.
