A Certificate signed by John L. Henricksen, City Clerk of the City- of Huntington Beach, setting forth: June 41 19579 as the date of the special election held in certain contiguous territory on the question of annexation thereof to said City; June 17, .1957, -_the date of the canvass of the returns of said election by the legislative body of said City; The result of such canvass, from which it appears that of the 419 votes cast, 303 were in favor of adoption of the annexation proposition and 116 were against adoption thereof•;_ A description of the boundaries of the territory. 2. . That the territory above described shall be subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Huntington Beach to pay the entire bonded in- debtedness of the City of Huntington Beach outstanding on February 18th, 1957, or theretofore authorized, for the acquisition, construction or completion of municipal im- provements. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circu- lated in the City of Huntington Beach, California; and thir-by (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, did, by resolution duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of said City Council call for and provide for the holding of the Special Election held on Tuesday, June I+th, 1957, pertaining to the North Annexation to the City of Huntington Beach; and WHEREAS, due notice of the holding of said Special Election has heretofore been given at the time and in the manner provided by law. NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach, California, do hereby resolve, determine and de- clare as follows: Section 1. (a) That the proposition submitted to the voters at such election was as follows: "SHALL THE NORTH ANNEXATION BE ANNEXED T 0, INCORPORAT- ED IN AND MADE A PART' OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AND THE PROPERTY IN SUCH TERRITORY BE, AFTER SUCH AN- NEXATION, SUBJECT TO TAXATION EQUALLY WITH THE PROP- ERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, TO PAY THE ENTIRE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON 1. i Hes. No. 1312 BEACH OUTSTANDING OR AUTHORIZED AT THE DATE OF THE FILING OF THE PETITION FOR ANNEXATION FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION OR COMPLETION OF MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS."
