BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH: WHEREAS, on the 21st day of November, 1960, the Council of the City of Huntington Beach did pass and adopt Resolution No; 1442, giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Huntington Beach, said territory being therein desig- nated as "Northeast No- 3% said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS,, said Resolution No, 1442 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council, of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said reso•p lotion; and WHEREAS, on the 16th day of January, 1961, at the hour of 8:00 o9clock P.M,, in the Council Chambers in the City Mall of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,, State of California,, said time and place being the days, hour and- place fixed in' said Resolution No, 1442 for hearing protests to the said annexations, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equali,zed assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the pub4icl.y owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory Is contiguous to the City of Huntington Beach, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange; NOW THEREFORE, the pity Council, of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby approve the nexation of the territory hereinafter de- scribed to the City of Huntington Beach, and does further ordain that the said territory be and ;is hereby annexed to the City of Huntington Beach.
