PLUNKETT WATER SUPERINTENDENT CITY ATTORNEY BETTY DIEKOFF TREASURER The Honorable City Council City of Huntington Beach Gentlemen: I have been in contact with several property owners in the area on the north side of Highway 101 immediately west of Sam' s Sea- food, continuing on up to the point. Through the activity of the Decon Corporation developing their property, sewers are being laid with stub-outs for each of the aforesaid properties. Also as a result of Decon ' s development, the leach lines for the septic tanks presently serving these properties have all been cut. Some of these property owners are aware of the problem created and are concerned about annexing to the City and to Sanitation District No. 11 . I cannot say for certain that this annexation would be successful, but I believe this to be true . I would like to recommend to your Honorable Body that you proceed in initiating this annexation by directing the City Attorney to prepare a resolution of intent to annex. I have discussed this matter with the City Administrator and believe that he concurs with me in this recommendation. The annexation, if initiated, would be designated "Sunset Beach No. 4 Annexation. " I City Council -2- October 2, 1964 There will be some minor costs connected with this procedure for the preparation of the necessary maps and legal descriptions which is estimated at $100 . However, the government code re- quires that the costs of annexation to a City be borne by that City. If your Honorable Body concurs with this recommendation, your immediate action will be appreciated. Sincerely yours, CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH gPaulC_ J es City Clerk PCJobwo CHARLES E.
