The purpose of the:.survty was to get an indication from residents about their general understanding of the community's infrastructure needs and their willingness to financially participate in addressing these needs. Please find attached a"draft"copy of the survey results. Please keep in mind that this attachment presents only the raw numbers. Additional information will be presented to the City Council at your August 13, 2001 study session. Dr. Gary Lawrence will be present at the City Council meeting to present and discuss the survey findings and to answer questions. The following information is provided to acquaint the City Council with Dr. Gary Lawrence. Dr. Lawrence has been a public affairs and marketing pollster for more than 25 years and has worked with FW&A on an ongoing basis since 1985. Dr. Lawrence has conducted several thousand marketing, political and public affairs studies during his career and has conducted this research in over 40 of the 50 states, in addition to his national studies. He has a reputation for producing highly accurate studies and for finding ways in his questionnaires to assess deep and hard-to- measure attitudes. Dr. Lawrence provides FW&A's clients services such as focus group triads, telephone surveys, in-home surveys, video dial tests, intercept research, specialty group research, secondary data analysis, and canvasses. Most recently, Dr. Lawrence conducted a telephone survey in the greater-Phoenix area to capture the community's attitudes and awareness of high occupancy toll lanes HOT Lanes for our client, Parsons Transportation Group.
