Honorable Mayor and City Council
City Hall
Huntington Beach, California
Gentlemen:
On August 7, 1962, the Planning Commission held a public
hearing on VV #456 filed by L. -,xury Nomes, Louis Stabile
Agent, for renewal of an existing. subdLvis3,on directional
sign for a one year period. The sign is located on the east
side of Beach Boulevard approximately 200 feet' north of Clay'
Street, also known as 19606 Beach Boulevard.
The application came before the Planning Commission the day
after the Council had adopted the Subdivision Sign Ordinance,
No: 922, and: which will be effective. September 5, 1962. ; The
sign does not comply with that new ordinance as to Its l.o-
cation "and its size.
It. was the concensus , of the Commission that as long as the
ordinance had been adopted, .the signs should follow ,the
Ordinance and, therefore, the application was unani=usly
denied.
Respectfully submitted,
Warner
Secretary
