HUNTINGTON HARBOUR CORP Under deferred itme , the Clerk presented Conditional Exception - UV *782 - Huntington Harbour Corporation, with recomendation for approval of the Planning Commission - to create lots without direct access to public street and with less than the required 6000 square feet minimure, on property located northeast of Broadway Street and Hayview Drive. Action had been deferred from the meeting of February 1965 until the Public Works Director could notify property owners to de -annex from Sanitation district #11. On notion by welch, seconded by Larbert, Council deferred action on UV,#702 - Conditional Exception to Huntington Harbour, until such time as propertowners are notified to de -annex from Sanitati6n District #11. Ltion carried. QTTIFICATE OF NEED & NEC - BUSINESS LICENCE - IfiERMAN TATE - TAXI The Clerk presented the application for Certificate of Public Need and Necessity submitted by Herman R. Tate, to operate a fleet of taxi cubs within the City. The matter was deferred for study by the Ad- miaistrator, Police Chief and Attorney at the meeting of February 1, 1965. The Clerk presented a letter of recommendation from J. 1-1. Devine, Assistant District Attorney of Orange County. 1, On motion by Stewart, seconded by Gisler, Council granted a Certificate of Public Need and Necessity to Herman R. 'fate to operate a fleet of taxi cabs in the City, subject to approval by the City Administrator ane Chief of Police. Motion carried. `HII..DRENS ASTH?-7A RESEARCH INSTITUTE & HOSPITAL - SOLICITATIONS The City Administrator reported his findings concerning the Children's Asthma Research Institute & Hospital request to solicit fund,; door-to- door in the City on March 5, 6 & 7, 1965. on motion by Lambert, seconded by Welch, Council granted permission to the Children's Asthma Research Institute & Hospital to solicit funds door-to-door on March S. 6 & 71 1965, subject to conditions stipulated by the Police Department. :Notion carried. iinwimn,oN m it Cw xm LEASE AGREEMENT - REPIACE`ME NI) The Clerk presented Resolution No. 2122 relative to submission of a new bond to replace the existing bond on the Iuntington Driftwood. Lease, which was referred to the City Administrator and City Attorney at the meeting of February 1, 1965. On motion by Stewart, seconded by lambert, Council deferred action on Resolution �No. 2122 until the meeting of !larch 1, 1965. Motion carried. AWLtR) OF CONTRACT - WATER MAINS - SANITARY PIPELINE CO �. ...� W The Clerk presented a letter of recommendation from the Public Works Director, concerning the award of contract on water mains and services in Blocks 107 to 607, 108 to 608, and in the following streets: York- town, Huntington, Clay and Delaware. Mr. Wheeler informed the Council that a review of the bids presented at the meeting of February 1, 1965 had been cowrplet-rd and recom ended that the contract be warded to the low bidder, Sanitary Pipeline Compeny, , Inc. - $59,767.20. On motion by Stvwert , aeconded by Gisler, Council avardad the contract for crater mains to Sanitary Pipeline Company, Inc. - Huntington Beach - f*r the low bid of S59,767.20; rejected all other bids; and directed the Clerk to return the bid bonds to the unsuccessful bidders upon execution of the contract. Motion carried. Page # 7 - Minutes, February 15, 1965 On motion by welch, seconded by Gisler, Council. accepted the improve- ments dedicated for public use in ".Tact No. 5251, and authorized the release of the Monument Bond and Improvement Bond and termination of the Subdivision Agreement; and directed that the developer and bond- ing company be notified. Motion carried. TRAc'r No. 5638 - SUBDIVISION AGR&EIM The Clerk presented a transmittal from the Director of Public Works of Monument Bond, Improvement• Bond and Subdlvision Agreement for Tract No. 5638 - Alco-Pacific. On motion by lambert, seconded by Welch, Council accepted Monument Bond No. 934993 -- Glen Falls Insurance Company, and directed the Cleric to file same; accepted the Agreement -in -Lieu of Bond and Subdivision Agreement, and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute same on behalf of the City. Motion carried. DEEDS ACCEPTED The Clerk presented a transmittal from the Director of Public works of feeds to the City as follows: (a) Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ for street widening of Newland Street. (b) The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles for street widening at the northeast corner of Talbert Avenue and Beach Boulevard. (c) Walter Lee Brown, Jr. & R. J. Zinngrabe for Storm Drain Easement on Stang Lane. (e) Seamer Development Company for water rights in Tract 5033. (e) Doyle & Shields Development Company for Drainage Easement in 'rrsc t 5536. (f) Orange Coast Junior College for Drainage Easement at the Hunting- ton Beach Junior College site - Guldenwest Campus. On motion by Welch, seconded by 1,Wbert, Council accepted the deeds as listed, and directed the Clerk to record same with the Orange County Recorder. Motion carried. O%rMMY1U? STREET r:►4PROVF_"W 17S - TAl..BERT/GOTHARD - STANDARD Ol la CO MOVE The Clerk presented a transmittal from the Director of Public Works, with recommendation for approval, requesting authorization to proceed with arrangements for deeds and agreement relating to Standard Oil Company's proposed transfer of a portion of its -marketing division operations to its Pipeline Department at Talbert Avenue and Gothard Street. On motion by Welch, seconded by Stewart, Council approved the request outlined by the Public works Director to bring the Standard Cil Company Talbert and Gothard property up to City standards, and directed him to proceed with arrangements ae presented.
