We received your new up-dated resolution and now request that your office prepare a Request for Council Action to be placed on the City Council's agenda. g e6cbmemkityatty y a CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH INTER-DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATION HUNTINGTON BEACH TO: CONNIE BROCKWAY, City Clerk FROM: GAIL HUTTON, City Attorney DATE: August 9, 1994 SUBJECT: Response to your May 25, 1994, memo, RLS 94-356 I have modified the resolution of the Parking Authority to have the meeting time and location conform to the city council regular meetings. In considering modifying.ft rules for special meetings which would allow the appropriation of funds for this agency, I discussed the matter with Robert Franz, and we concluded that there is a strong likelihood we will be closing out this authority after the 1994-95 budget activities have slowed down. In the meantime, there is no expectation of a need for a special meeting for the appropriation of funds, and, inasmuch as the Brown Act now provides for posting as well as notice to the newspapers of our meetings, it is my opinion that it is no longer necessary to open and/or report the regular meeting of the Parking Authority at each council meeting.
