Huntington Beach
Statement of Issue:
On February 2, 2015, City Council directed the City Attorney to draft a Resolution to eliminate
Permit Parking District-S, which consists of portions of 7th Street, 8th Street, 9th Street, Orange
Avenue, Pecan Avenue, Acacia Avenue, and Palm Avenue.

Recommended Action:
Adopt Resolution No. 2015-05, "A Resolution :of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
Eliminating Permit Parking District "S" Within the City of Huntington Beach."

RESOLUTION NO. 2015-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ELIMINATING PERMIT PARKING
DISTRICT "S" WITHIN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 2977 allowing the
establishment of parking districts in residential areas under certain conditions; and
The citizens of the residential streets known as 7th Street, 81h Street, 9" Street,
Olive Avenue, Orange Avenue, Pecan Avenue, Acacia Avenue, and Palm Avenue petitioned
for and the City created a permit parking district S containing the following roadways and be
effective from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. daily,
71h Street, 8th Street, and 9th Street between Walnut Avenue and
Palm Avenue;
Olive, Orange, and Acacia between the 6th/7t'' alley and 9°i/1 Oth alley; Pecan
from 6th to the 9t''/I01h alley; and
Southwest (ocean) side of Palm between the 7th Street and the
9th/loth alley; and
The City Council has reevaluated the efficacy Parking District S,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby
resolve as follows:
That Permit Parking District "S" is hereby eliminated.

regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of February
