Subsequent to the City Council's approval of this deed, the City Clerk's office was informed that SCE preferred to execute their own agreements, rather than those prepared by the City. Since that time, the City Clerk's office has been waiting to receive a copy of SCE's document to be executed by the City. Real Estate Services contacted Jerry Dominguez, Region Manager with SCE, regarding this matter on June 27, 2006, asking if SCE still needed the subject easement deed. Mr. Dominguez informed me that he would advise me should SCE still need the City to execute an easement deed for this property. In the event that Real Estate Services is informed by SCE that an easement deed is necessary for the Edwards Fire Station, the document will be submitted for City Council consideration at a future time.
