[ ] Yes [ ] New Policy or Exception Statement of Issue, Recommendation,Analysis, Funding Source,Alternative Actions,Attachments: STATEMENT OF ISSUE There is a need to approve an easement at Meadowlark Golf Course for Edison Company to provide electrical service for the new clubhouse and maintenance facility. RECOMMENDED ACTION Approve the easement at Meadowlark Golf Course to allow Southern California Edison Company access to provide the required electrical service for the new building on the golf course. ANALYSIS American Golf Corporation is in the process of making a major renovation to Meadowlark Golf Course. The course has already been renovated. They are now obtaining the final permits to construct a new clubhouse, pro shop, starter's area and maintenance building. In order to provide the necessary electrical service, Southern California Edison Company is requesting an easement at the golf course. Staff recommends approval of the easement which has been approved as to form by the City Attorney's Office. FUNDING SOURCE Not applicable. ALTERNATIVE ACTION Do not approve the easement which will result in breach of contract with the American Golf Corporation because the new electrical service is needed for the new buildings.
