Statement of Issue, Recommendation,Analysis, Funding Source,Alternative Actions,Attachments:
STATEMENT OF ISSUE
There is a need to approve an easement at Meadowlark Golf Course for Edison Company to
provide electrical service for the new clubhouse and maintenance facility.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve the easement at Meadowlark Golf Course to allow Southern California Edison Company
access to provide the required electrical service for the new building on the golf course.
ANALYSIS
American Golf Corporation is in the process of making a major renovation to Meadowlark Golf
Course. The course has already been renovated. They are now obtaining the final permits to
construct a new clubhouse, pro shop, starter's area and maintenance building. In order to provide
the necessary electrical service, Southern California Edison Company is requesting an easement at
the golf course. Staff recommends approval of the easement which has been approved as to form
by the City Attorney's Office.
FUNDING SOURCE
Not applicable.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION
Do not approve the easement which will result in breach of contract with the American Golf
Corporation because the new electrical service is needed for the new buildings.
