Rowlands , City Administrator Paul Jones , City Clerk Gentlemen: Transmitted herewith is a copy of Resolution No . 1091 , a resolution of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of Precise Plan Alignment No . 72-5 . This proposal was initiated by the Planning Commission to precise plan a street alignment Fo. the castes-ly extension of "Hil" Drive within Tentative Tract No . 7692 , to terminate in a cul-de-sac . The Planning Commission bold a public hearing on. May 2 , , 1972 . Said matter was continued to the .May 9th meeting for further study , at which time the Planning Commission approved the street alignment for the easterly extension of "1111" Drive within Tentative Tract No. 7692 to terminate in a cul -de-sac . At said meeting the :Tanning Commission instructed the staff to prepare a resolutioni adopting said alignment . At the May 23rd meeting , the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No . 1091 pertaining to said alignment . The Planning Commission instructed the staff to set this precise plan for a hearing at the April G, 1972 meeting when Tentative Tract No. 7692 was approved . Subject property was not included within the tentative tract because it is held under different ownership . Because of this , the Commission felt that a precise plan was needed to insure that the property in question would have ` proper access when developed as an R1 subdivision. Although there is a 10 day appeal period, we suggest that the matter be set for the earliest possible City Council meeting, because the purpose of any appeal is to have a hearing before the City Council and this is already being accomplished. We further suggest that you not accept nay appeal , as it will serve no purpose. If approval has been recommnded other than as requested, the City Council will be required to hold a public hearing on this scatter.
