PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
ON MOTION BY BOYLE AND SECOND BY SHEA CODE AMENDMENT NO. 75-14
WAS APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
AYES: Parkinson, Bazil, Finley, Slates, Shea, Boyle, Kerins
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
The staff recommends approval of Code Amendment No. 75-14 as
approved at the Planning Commission public hearing of November
18, 1975. The intent of this code amendment is to revise the
setback requirements for automobile storage yards.
Presently, automobile storage yards are required to set back
660 ft. from any property zoned, planned or presently used as
residential. This ordinance accomplishes the Planning Commission's
direction of requiring that automobile storage yards shall not be
located closer than 660 ft. from any property that is zoned and
General Planned Residential. This revision eliminates isolated
non -conforming residential uses from prohibiting industrial property
to be developed with this type of industrial use.
ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS:
The amendment is a Class I, Categorical Exemption under the guide-
lines of the California Environmental Quality Act, 1970.
