Palin, Director City Administrator d '0 Development Services Subject ORDINANCE NO. 2837 — ate . June 6, 1986 Rl—LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT — YARDS AND FENCING CODE AMENDMENT NO. 85-23 Ordinance No. 2837 was scheduled for adoption at the June 2, 1986 City Council meeting. However, the item was continued to the June 16, 1986 meeting because of the building heights issue which could have a bearing on the ordinance. At the June 2, 1986 City Council meeting the building heights issue was referred back to the Planning Commission for a report. An Ad Hoc Committee was also formed to discuss and to prepare a recommendation regarding building heights. The Ad Hoc Committee recommended and the Planning Commission concurred that the building heights be reduced from 30 feet to 25 feet (see attached Building Heights chart). The reduction to 25 feet is reflected in Ordinance No. 2837 which has been introduced and has had its first reading. Recommendation: Staff recommends the second reading of Ordinance No. 2837 and its adoption at the June 16, 1986 City Council meeting.
