Rowlands, RE: Code Amendment No. City Council City Administrator 74-13 - Transmitted herewith is Code Amendment No. 74-13, the intent of which is to repeal the*7-1/2 foot variation in garage setbacks from the street for the residential districts. The Planning Commission initiated the amendment because of the unsightly on -street parking effects, driveway auto overhang, and on -street driveway blockage that results from such a setback variation. The code amendment was approved by the Planning Commission at its meeting on November 19, 1974 by a unanimous vote. The amendment is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act, 1970. RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Commission recommends approval of Code Amendment No. 74-13 .
