Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Division 9
of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. Said amendment
pertains to the removal of the requirement that a Use Permit
be approved for a Home Occupation
The Planning Commission unanimously approved this matter
on November 7, 1967, and recommends adoption by your
Honorable Body.

shall read as follows:
ec � 3G 0 H omcpatipAs. Home Occupations maybe
permitted. in :she E-19 RJ-PD59 U-29 R-3 and
R-4 Districts subject to the following conditions
(a.) The business shall be restricted to one room only in the
dwelling and all material, equipnent or facilities :hall
be kept the.r ell.
(b) No garage shall be used in connection a0h such bu.sineys9
exDept for parking of business vehicles.
(c) Only persons residing oA the premises may be employed.
(d) Thare shall be no display of mercha3 Aire 9 products, operation,
signs or nameplates of any kind visible .from outside the
Welling.
(e) 1n no way shall the appearance of the dwelling be altered
or the operation of she business within the dwelling be
such Wat the dwelling may be reasonably recognized as
serving a nor. -residential use,, whether by colors,, material,s9
construction, l ighti g9 window,, signs, sounds or any othex
means,
Q) There shall be no storage of materials, supplies9 equipment
or products outside of the room of the Welling used for
a come occupations
(g) The occumanion shall not generate pedestrian or vehicular
traffic beyond that normal to the neighborhood in which
it is Located..
(h) The occupation shall not involve the use of commercial
vehicles for delivery of materials to on from the premises.

street or in the fronv yard of the premises.
