RE: CODE AMENDMENT NO. 66-8, an amendment to Division 9
of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code.
Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Division 9
of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code.
Said amendment will clarify the intent of a 22 foot setback
for garages or carports entered directly from the street.
The Planning Commission unanimously approved this matter
May 3, 1966, and recommends adoptionr_by your Honorable
Body.
The Code provides that a public hearing shall be heldcon
the matter after which an ordinance may be adopted effecting
the change.

Enclosure: Code amendment 66-8
Section 1. the following Sections of
the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code are hereby amended,
and as amended, shall read in words and figures as
follows:
S. 9106.2 Setback from a Street. Any
carport or garage entered directly from a street
shall set back a minimum of 22 feet from the ultimate
right-of-way of said street. Said ultimate right-of-
way as indicated on the latest adopted Master Plan
of Arterial Streets and Highways and any precise plan
of street alignment shall prevail.
S� 9166.5 Setback from a Street. Any
carport or garage entered directly from a street
shall setback a minimum of 22 feet from the ultimate
right-of-way of said street. Said ultimate right-of-
way as indicated on the latest adopted Master Plan
of Arterial Streets and Highways and any precise plan
of street alignment shall prevail.
S. 9206.5 Setback from a Street. Any
carport or garage entered directly from a street
shall set back a minimum of 22 feet from the ultimate
right-of-way of said street. Said ultimate right-
of-way as indicated on the latest adopted Master Plan
