RE: CODE AMENDME1gT NO. 66-7, an amendment to Division 9 of
the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code.
Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Division 9
of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code.
Said amendment will require a 6 foot separation wall on
commercial, professional and industrial property when it
abuts acresidential district.
The Planning Commission unanimously approved this matter
May 3, 1966, and recommends adoption by your Honorable
Body.
The Code provides that a public hearing shall be held on
the matter after which an ordinance may be adopted effecting
the change.

Any property used for professional, commercial or
industrial purposes having a common property line with
property zoned or used for residential purposes shall
provide a Bix (6) inch wide solid masonry or concrete
block wall on the professional, commercial or industrial
side of the common property line. When such properties
are separated by any public easement or public right-of-
way, less than 50 feet in width, the solid masonry or con-
crete block wall shall be constructed on the industrial,
commercial or professional side of such easement, or
right-of-way. The height of said wall shall be such
that the top will be six (6) feet above the highest
ground surface within twenty (20) feet of the common
property line on the professional, commercial or
industrial side of said. wall. Measurement shall be
taken at any given point along said wall. All walls
shall conform to the yard requirements pertaining to
fences, walls and hedges of the zone in which said
use is located and the provisions of Section 9786.
