recommending approval of Zone Case 432.
Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is F -opy of Resolution No 432, A resolution of
the City Planning Commission recommending arproval of :;one Case 432.
This case proposes to amend the Master Fl.ar of Streets and Highways
as it relates to the alignment of 17th Street and Garfield Avenue and
to change the classification of Hamilton Avenue from a Secondary
Highway to a Primary Highway.
This change of cla ssification of Hamilton Avenue is necessitated by
the! increase in multiple residential zoning in this section of the
City which makes it necessary to provide more tra'A: f is capacity on
the arterial highway:;.
The City Planning Commission held a public hearing on the ranter on
March 17, 1964, at which time there was no one present to speak either
for or against thiA proposal.
By unanimous vote of the Planning Commission, Zone Case 432 was
approved and recommended to your Honorable Body for adoption.
The State Planning Act requires that a public hearing shall be held
on the matter after which a resolution may be adopted effecting the
change.
Respectfully submitted,
W. C. Warner, A.I.P.
Planning Director and Secretary
