The site is designated Medius-,t Density Resident-iai on the Land Use "Diagram of the General Plan but the proposed rezoning; has been found consistent with the General Plan because the site meets size and location criteria of the General Plan and is in conformance with the policies of the General Plan . .The proposed rezoning will conform with the existing surrounding ..The which are commercial to the west and south and a mobilehome park to the north and east . Residential use of the site could be compatible with the surrounding land uses however , the size and location of the site make residential use of the property impractical . In contrast , the size of the site is sufficient and the location is excellent for a commercial use . ENVIRONMENTAL srATUS : Negative Declaration No . 78- 53 leas posted for a ten day period ending June 5 , 1978 with no comments being; received .
