Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is a copy s.3:r Resolution No 236 , a resolution of
the City Planning Commission, recommending approval of Zone Case 256 .
This case proposes to change the zone on property situated at t',- north
side of Adams Avenue between Cannery St-:eet and the Orange F l god
Control Channel , from R-4-Y, Si;Lburban Residential District as adopted
by Interim Ordinance 672 to R-'_ Single Family Residence Din rirt .
The property is better known as Tract No 4493 - which is a single family
development presently under construction.
The City Flanning70ommission held a public hearing on the matter on
June 19 , 1962 , at which time there were no persons present to speak
either for or agcainst the proposal .
By unanimous vote of the City Planning Commission, Zone Case 256 was
approved and recommended to your' Honorable Body for adoption,
The Code provides that a public hearing shall be held on the matter
after which an ordinance may be adopted• effecting the change .

Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is a copy of Resolution 257 a resolution of the
City Planning Commission recommending denial without prejudice of
Zone- Cas e r 257.
This case proposes to chaaoe the zone on property located approximately
380 feet east of Bolsa Chica Street on . the south- side of Heil Avenue
from R-1 Single Family R s dence,' District to R-3 Limited Multiple
Family Residence District. The intended use of the property is for a
church and- parish school .
The City PlanningCommission held 3 public hearing on the matter on

June 19 , 1962, at., which'- time it was suggested by the Planning Commission
that the applicant request a use variance rather than a change :- zone .
This approach was acceptable- to the applicant as well as several pro-
perty owners in the area who- were not- opposed to the church and school
but were opposed to other uses allowed in the R-3 zone
By unanimous vot.e of the City Planning Commission , Zone Case 257 was
denied without prejudice and ; recommended- to your Honorable Body Afor
denial.
If the City Council concurs with the Planning Commissi.on' s recommendation
the Code provides that the petition may be denied by the Council without
holding 4 *public hearing.

Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is a copy of Resolution No 160, a resolution of
the City Planning Comimission, recocrzr.ending approval of Zone Case 260 .
This case proposes to change the zone on property situated on the north
side of Warnsr Avenue and or, the east side of the Pacific Electric
Railroad f rom 1•1--1. Li �ht Industrial District to R-1 Single F'atilily Resi-
dence District .
The City Planning Commission held a public Fearing on the matter on
July 3 , 1962 , at which time one letter of protest aas read , one person
spoke in favor of the change , and no one was present to speak against
the proposal.
By unanimous vote of the City Planning Commission, Zone Lase 1-60 was
approved and recommender' to your Honorable Body for adoption.
The Code provides that a public hearing shall be held on the :s;atter
after which an ordinance may be adopted effecting the change .

RV: RESOLUTION NO 264, a resolution of the City Planning Commission
recommending approval of Zone Case 264.
Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is a copy of Resolution No 264, a resolution of
the City Planning Commission, recommending approval of Zone Case 264.
This case proposes to change the zone on ( 1) property situated 660 feet
west of Goldenwest Street and south of Heil Avenue , and ( 2) property
situated west of Goldenwest Street and approximately 1320 feet south
of Heil Avenue from A-1-X General Agricultural District, as adopted by
Interim Ordinance No 668 to R-1 Single Family Residence District .
The properties are better known as Tract Nos 4037 and 4051.
The City Planning Commission held a public hearing on the matter. un
August 7 , 1962, at which time there was no one present to speak either
for or against the proposal.
By unanimous vote of the City Planning Ccmmission, Zone Case 264 was
approved`- and recommended to your Honorable Body for adoption.
The Code provides that a public hearing shall be held on the matter
after which an ordinance may be adopted effecting the change.
