Gentlemen: Transmitted herewith is a copy of Resolution No 453, a resolution of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of Zone Case 453 . This case proposes to amend the Master Plan of Land Use by adopting an amendment entitled "Master Plan of Land Use - Study Area 111 . This plan encompasses the property within the city east of Beach Boulevard and south of Ellis Avenue , and consists of 7 .8 square miles . This particular change affects only the area bounded by Yorktown Avenue , Brookhurst Street , Adams Avenue and Bushard Street and proposes a reduction in the amount of medium density for the quarter section. The City Planning Commission held a plablic hearing on the matter on May 19 , 1964, at which time the presidents of the Huntington East and p o Glen Ma: Homeowners Associations spoke for a reduction of the medium density area and four residents also supported the amendment . at the request of the Commission, a representative of the Fountain Valley School District explained the potential school problems in the area . Two representatives of the proposed developer of a portion of the area explained their plans and suggested that the matter be continued. After considerable discussion, it is the unanimous recommendation of the Commission that Zone Case 45" be adopted to CaMend that portion of the Master Plan of Land Use _ Study Area I bounded by Yorktown, Brookhurst , Adams and Bushard by deleting all of the medium density property from the north half of this quarter section and leaving the south half as it is presently classified in medium density and commercial.
