The tree promotion date will start on November 24thand end on December 14th•We anticipate the initial delivery from the vendor to be on November 25th•Our trees will be 7-8 foot noble fir, preselected to be high grade select #1 or better. We will sell our trees baled without exception, with a guaranteed replacement should the member not be satisfied. We will not ,sawcut the trunks in our operation. The trees will be delivered and stored in a truck trailer that holds 550 units. Our projected unit sales for this season is 1,100trees, so we will have approximately 2 deliveries. There will be a single trailer on site, without exception, during the program. Because we are extremely cognizant of the impact that this may have on our neighbors, we have selected a site on our lot that will minimize the impact of the program on them. (Please see the attached map for exact placement details.) I anticipate that the trailer will occupy 6parking spaces, and we will have a loading / short-term tree storage area directly in front of the trailer. Total spaces utilized will be 13,including those spaces that we anticipate being used to pick- up and secure the tree for transportation home. Like last year, the sale of the tree will be on a pick-up basis, so the Costco Wholesale member will have to purchase the tree inside the warehouse. Their register receipt will serve as their claim check for a tree. Christmas trees will be sold to Costco Wholesale members only. Christmas trees will only be available for sale during regular store hours. Because the trailer is unlit, I anticipate that we will use auxiliary lighting beyond the parking lot lights located directly above our proposed area. This lighting will be directed so that it allows us to safely work in the trailer and provide some additional lighting for the pick- up area. At no time will this lighting be directed at our neighboring residential area. At the conclusion of the program, the trailer will be picked up immediately, and the parking spaces will be returned to their pre-program availability.
