SHIPLEY July 26, 1968 Mr. Kenneth McCarty, Permit Agent American Petrofina Exploration Company 18299 South Broadway Gardena, California Dear Mr. McCarty: We are in receipt of your request for a sixty day extension of your permit to conduct a geophysical survey within the City of Huntington Beach on Magnolia Street, from Indianapolis to the Fountain Valley city limits. In reviewing your request, we find that you have failed to furnish the City a certificate of liability insurance in the amount of one million dollars as required by our letter of May 31, 1968. At such time as the certificate of insurance is received, your request will be considered. Further, you are hereby notified to discontinue all operations in connection with your geophysical survey in this city until the required certificate of insurance is provided.
