WHEREAS, Fees imposed on residential development impact the overall cost of housing; and WHEREAS, builders and developers need to factor fee adjustments into project pro formas; and WHEREAS, in some jurisdictions, adequate notification to stakeholders is not currently taking place; and WHEREAS, the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Orange County Chapter (BIA/OC) is the collective representative of all major stakeholders impacted by fees charged to residential development; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Directors of the BIA/OC resolves as follows: Section 1: To adopt the Fair Share Principles to be included in the annual BIA/OC Land Development Fee Survey. Section 2: To direct staff to communicate with local jurisdictions to advocate the utilization of said principles when considering fee adjustments. Passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of the BIA/OC at the regular meeting held on the 12th day of March, 2007 Adopted March 12, 2007
