Conger, Deputy City Clerk City of Alameda Room'306 Oak and Santa Clara Streets Alameda, CA 94501 Dear Ms. Conger: In reference to. your letter dated July 18, 1975, we are enclosing Article 175 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code relative to the real property transfer tax, which as of June 5, 1975 is no. longer in. effect. A petition to repeal this ordinance was circulated and did qualify to .be put on the ballot as a charter amendment. A special election was held May 27, 1975 at which time the electors voted to repeal said tax. We informed the City Treasurer of your request for information on the tax and he will be contacting your Ad-Hoc Finance Committee regarding the effectiveness and/or problems with its administration.
