The proposed amendment would remove the requirement to pay park fees for alterations or additions to existing dwellings provided that the alteration or addition would not create additional dwellings. The proposed amendment would also remove the existing require- ment for the payment of park fees where reconstruction or rebuilding of a structure that has been demolished or destroyed is proposed provided that the replacement of the structure would be of a like classification to that which was demolished or destroyed. Clarifying punctuation was added to the amendment at the Planning Com- mission meeting to assure that the intent of this ordinance would apply to multiple dwelling units as well as single family dwellings . ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS : Code Amendment No. 77-11 is exempt from the requirements for environmental documentation, as the proposed revisions do not encompass significantly different concepts to the existing regulations. A notice of exemption is attached. CA 77-11 Page Two FISCAL IMPACT OF PROPOSED LEGISLATION: This code amendment is viewed as a minor adjustment to the regulatory provisions of Article 974 and would not directly pose a fiscal impact upon the City.
