I get the need for elected officials to be perceived as being responsive, but this is only stoking further hysteria over a virus with a lower mortality rate than the seasonal flu which kills thousands of people in this country every year. The responsible course of action would be to step back from this and instead communicate the best available science putting this virus in proper context relative to other more lethal viruses. - Mark B.
