Why is this work being done?
The 16-foot barrier fence was installed last year to mitigate impacts of noise and dust at the
Site. This interim fence will close the current fence gap at Hamilton and Magnolia and will be
in place until excavation activities at the Site resume.
Following the completion of the cleanup work and installation of an environmental cap, the
16-foot barrier fence will be replaced with new residential-quality fencing along Hamilton Ave and
Magnolia Street.
When will this work take place?
Work to install the fence is anticipated to begin on Monday, December 14, 2020. The work will
take place over 2 to 3 days between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
How will this work be carried out?
The fence will be installed by driving 20-25 posts using a gasoline-powered post driver. The
driver will complete a single pole in about 5 minutes. Following pole installation, fencing and
screening will be installed.
