I am grateful that she led the way to spare the city a costly special election to fill a vacant council seat, was proactive in mitigation of damages from the recent oil spill and many other challenges she faced during her year as mayor. I also want to take this time to congratulate incoming Mayor Barbara Delgleize. Her experience as mayor in 2017 and her ability to work with other members of council to achieve results are assuring that she will provide steady leadership for the city as mayor in 2022. 1 often speak on behalf of Huntington Beach Short Term Rental Alliance members as I do so now at this point of the comment, we ask that the city delay the requirement of booking platforms to takedown listings on 1/1/2022 for all all without valid permit numbers. Per city website at this time there are 54 permits issued in Huntington Beach/Sunset Beach, 37/17 respectively,This is a paltry number of issued permits, due in part that the city has continually blocked the vast majority of HB property owners of STRs from applying and qualifying for permits. Give everyone in HB/SB a finite window of opportunity to apply for permits before the city issues requirements of platforms to remove listings from their websites. Sincerely, Kathryn Levassiur (714)343-7931 SUPPLEMENTAL COMMUNICATION ka@*>D Date: I rkI t
