COMEBACK IN 2022
After two years of modified celebrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
2022 marks a big return of the Fourth of July festivities in Huntington
Beach. With the support of the Fourth of July Executive Board and
consultant Stacey Newton, Soundskilz has incorporated all traditional
event elements as well as exciting new activations to expand the
celebration.

MAIN STREET BLOCK PARTY
The 2022 Fourth of July festivities will kickoff with a Block Party
on Main Street on Thursday, June 30 from 5:00 - 9.00 PM.
• Event is presented in partnership with the Huntington Beach Downtown BID
• Sponsor recognition and entertainment on the City showmobile stage at Main and
PCH Streets
• Main Street vendor fair
• Presentation of the BID decorating contest winners

PIER PLAZA FESTIVAL
Pier Plaza and the 6th Street parking lot will transform
into a festival experience for the Fourth of July weekend.
• Festival will be open Friday— Monday with operating hours extending
from early afternoon to 10:00 PM
• Festival will feature activations for the entire family, including a wide
variety of vendors and carnival rides
• Food and beverage options will range from food trucks and pop-up food
vendors to 21+ exclusive beverage sponsors within the fenced-in festival %TING

• Entertainment on the City showmobile stage in the Pier Plaza
amphitheater throughout the weekend

SURF CITY 5K RUN
2022 marks the return of the traditional Surf City
5K run course through Main Street and Pacific ®„
Coast Highway.
• Run begins at 7:00 AM on July 4th

• Registration currently open for all ages on the Fourth of July /O

• Approximately 3,000 runners expected to participate

MAIN STREET PARADE
2022 also marks the return of the hallmark Huntington
Beach Fourth of July event — the 118th annual Main
Street Parade
• Parade begins at Main and PCH Streets at 10,00 AM on July 4 with
approximately 100 parade entries including vintage cars, marching
bands and walking entertainment, and the 2022 Community Grand
Marshal, former Huntington Beach Mayor Lyn Semeta
• Parade will follow the traditional route, up Main Street to the disbanding NTING
area at Main and Gothard Streets, ending at approximately 2:00 PM
• KABC will provide two hours of televised coverage 9=
• Residents may begin chalking their viewing spot along the parade >
route on July 3 at 7:00 AM R

FIREWORKS OVER THE OCEAN
The 2022 celebration will conclude with a bang with the
annual Fourth of July Fireworks over the Ocean,
presented by Mr. Robert Mayer and Family.
• Fireworks display will begin at 9:00 PM on July 4
• Pier seating and VIP tickets are available on the HB Fourth of July website,
www.hb4thofmuly.org
