I hope this email finds you well. I would like to take this opportunity to provide an organizational update that occurred at SoCalGas. We're excited to share Emily Grant, your SoCalGas Sr. Public Affairs Manager, has recently accepted a new position within the company. We're sorry to see her leave the team, but excited to see her thrive in her new role! During this transition period, our goal is to continue our strong partnership with the City of Huntington Beach and I'm glad to share, I'll be serving as your new interim liaison for SoCalGas. I'll be here as your resource and I've attached my business card for your records. And so that nothing falls between the cracks, I'm also writing to renew our annual request for notification in advance of any upcoming meeting that is to consider new or increased fees or service charges being considered by the City Council. Pursuant to section 66016 of the Government Code,written notice is requested of all public meetings convened by the City of Huntington Beach to consider new or increased fees or service charges.Section 66016 requires that such notice include the time and place of the meeting, a general explanation of the matter to be considered, and a statement that the data required by section 66016 is available. The law also requires that such notice shall be mailed at least 14 days prior to the meeting to any interested party who files a written request for mailed notice of the meeting. The code section also states that unless there has been voter approval, a fee cannot exceed the estimated amount required to provide the actual service for which the fee or service charge is levied. 1 Please email all requested notices of upcoming meetings to: Clarissa Serpas, CSerpas@SoCalGas.com .
