HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2023-05 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-05 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE APPLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTS TO OBTAIN DISASTER AND EMERGENCY RELIEF WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to designate and authorize certain classifications in the city service as the City's agents for purposes of applying for and obtaining financial assistance for disaster and emergency relief, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: 1. That the City Manager, Fire Chief, Police Chief, Chief Financial Officer or Emergency Management Administrator, are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Huntington Beach, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, any application and to file it in the Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certain federal assistance under P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford \ Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act(CDAA). 2. That the City of Huntington Beach, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agents to provide to the State Office of Emergency Services, for all matters pertaining to any such state disaster assistance, the assurances and agreements required.
