HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #4278 ORDINANCE NO. 4278 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING CHAPTER 2.111 TO THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING CITIZEN INFRASTRUCTURE ADVISORY BOARD/PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does herby ordain as follows: WHEREAS, on January 17, 2023,to increase efficiency, the City Council directed the City Manager to facilitate the adjusting of Boards and Commissions such that those with direct Councilmember appointments be reduced or limited to a 7-member Board or Commission with one appointee for each Councilmember and no more. NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 2.111 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2.111.050 Composition The CIAB/Public Works Commission shall consist of seven members individually appointed by the City Council. Members shall be residents and electors of the City of Huntington Beach who have special interest,training and/or experience in Public Works matters. Any vacancies will be filled pursuant to Section 2.111.060 below. The CIAB/Public Works Commission shall not be officers or employees and strictly adhere to the California Political Reform Act including Government Code Section 1090. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held this 7th day of March , 2023.
