Neither the City nor the City Council endorses any particular religious belief or form of invocation. 6. 23-168 Chaplain Roger Wing with the Huntington Beach Police Department CLOSED SESSION REPORT BY CITY ATTORNEY- City Attorney Gates reported no action taken on Closed Session Item No. 4; for Closed Session Item No. 3, a unanimous vote of Council directed not to challenge SB 10 and AB 68 at this time; and, to SB9, Council provided unanimous consent for the City Attorney to research joining the City of Redondo Beach's state challenge of SB9. Mayor Strickland explained his recusal from participating in Consent Item No. 12 at the February 21, 2023 City Council meeting (Bonanni Development at 19070 Holly Lane), explaining that he lives within 1,000 feet of the proposed development.
