Gentlemen:
This is to advise you that on June 21, 1967 the California Highway
Commission adopted a resolution relinquishing to the City of
Huntington Beach a portion of State Road 07-Ora-405-14.9/15 .5 along
certain frontage roads and reconstructed city streets between Warner
Avenue and Heil Avenue, in connection with the San Diego Freeway.
We are transmitting herewith three copies of said resolution to-
gether with maps attached showing that portion of the State highway
so relinquished.
This resolution was recorded June 30, 1967, as Document No. 22615,
Book 8300, pages 20 to 22, in the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County.

RELINQUISHMENT OF HIGHWAY RIGHT OF WAY
Gentlemen:
Attached for your information is a certified copy
of the above referenced California Highway Commission Vote
of Relinquishment. This action was taken in accordance with
Section 73 of the Streets and Highways Code.
Your attention is directed to Section 100.9 of
the Streets and Highways Code regarding relocated State
highways which bypass cities or business districts. The
directional signs erected by the State on such highways
shall be left in place and maintained by the local agency.
The relinquishment will become effective upon
recordation and your office will be notified immediately
thereafter.

RELINQUISHMENT OF HIGHWAY RIGHT OF WAY IN THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, ROAD 07-ORA-405-14 .9-15.5
REQUEST NO. 555
WHEREAS, by freeway agreement dated February 8, 1956
between the County of Orange and the State of California; by
freeway agreement dated February 1, 1960 between the City of
Huntington Beach and the State of California; and by City Council
Resolutions No. 1696, dated January 7, 1963, and No. 2381, dated
June 6, 1966, the city agreed to accept control and maintenance
of relocated and reconstructed city streets, frontage roads and
pedestrian facilities and to accept title thereto, upon relinquishment
thereof to said city by the State of California; and
WHEREAS, portions of said roads formerly lying within
said county, now lie within the City of Huntington Beach;
WHEREAS, the State of California has acquired right of
way for and has constructed said streets, roads and pedestrian
facilities in the City of Huntington Beach between Warner Avenue
and Edinger Avenue, road 07-Ora-405, in accordance with said
agreements and resolutions; and
WHEREAS, this Commission has found and determined, and
does hereby find and determine, that it is desirable and in the
public interest that said streets, roads and pedestrian facilities
be relinquished to the City of Huntington Beach for use as city
streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS VOTED by the California Highway
Commission that it relinquish, and it does hereby relinquish, to
the City of Huntington Beach, effective upon the recordation of
a certified copy hereof with the Recorder of Orange County, all
of the State of California's right, title and interest in and to
said streets, roads and pedestrian facilities in said city,
together with the right of way and appurtenances thereof, described
as follows:
All those portions of altered city streets, frontage
roads and pedestrian facilities shown as Parcels 6, 8, 10, 12,
14, 15 and 16 as delineated and shaded on maps recorded on
February 17, 1967 in State Highway Map Book No. 4, pages 42 to 49
inclusive, Records of Orange County.
