A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT
FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION OF
BOATING AND WATERWAY BOAT LAUNCHING FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has the authority to construct, operate, and
maintain the Huntington Beach Public Dock and Boat Launch Facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is requesting a$1.5 million dollar grant from
the Division of Boating and Waterways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to enhance, repair, or rebuild and
protect the Huntington Beach Public Dock and Boat Launch Facilities to meet the needs of
watercraft users and provide other public amenities to those utilizing the facility; therefore;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby:
SECTION 1. Approves the filing of an Application for the Habitat Conservation Fund
Program; and
SECTION 2. That said Applicant is subject to all of the terms and provisions of the
Harbors and Watercraft Revolving Fund program, application be made to the State of California,
Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways funding; and
SECTION 3. Appoints the Director of Public Works or his/her designee of the City of
Huntington Beach to cause the necessary data to be prepared and application to be signed and
filed with the Division of Boating and Waterways.

I, LISA LANE BARNES, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of the
City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a Regular meeting thereof held on December 17, 2024 by the following vote:
AYES: Twining, Kennedy, McKeon, Burns, Van Der Mark, Strickland,
Williams
