HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2024-09 RESOLUTION NO. 2024-09 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAY BOAT LAUNCHING FACILITIES WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has the authority to construct, operate, and maintain the Huntington Beach Public Dock and Boat Launch Facilities; and WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is requesting a$1.5 million dollar grant from the Division of Boating and Waterways; and WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to enhance, repair, or rebuild and protect the Huntington Beach Public Dock and Boat Launch Facilities to meet the needs of watercraft users and provide other public amenities to those utilizing the facility; therefore; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby: SECTION 1. Approves the filing of an Application for the Habitat Conservation Fund Program; and SECTION 2. That said Applicant is subject to all of the terms and provisions of the Harbors and Watercraft Revolving Fund program, application be made to the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways funding; and SECTION 3. Appoints the Director of Public Works or his/her designee of the City of Huntington Beach to cause the necessary data to be prepared and application to be signed and filed with the Division of Boating and Waterways.
