I would like to put on record from a decades long Huntington Beach resident and home owner, that I have never witnessed a more incompetent, unkind, uncouth person in any capacity, representing our great city than Mr Burns. Not that the citizens of HB actually needed anything else to embarrass us from the usually drunk, always deplorable Mr. Burns, but he outdid himself, when he spoke recently at the HB Chamber of Commerce `State of the City'. Below are his words at a public event, where he was representing our beautiful city. "I was a cop, 30 years, I did some crazy crap, I got into some good fights....police work,-I never had to grow up, to me it was an extension of high school, it was just gettin together with a bunch of buddies, looking for trouble, gettin in some good fights, and goin drinkin'! And that, I've been able to do, all the way into now, at City council....hahaha" Yes Mr Burns,we have been aware that you have brought your drinking and bullying to our fine city, and our City Council, you have put them on full display at every meeting. If this city council had an ounce of respect for Huntington Beach, they would demand your resignation, but they don't and they won't. It has been extraordinarily clear that not one of our City Council members cares one iota for HB. You have made deals giving away millions of our taxes dollars to your crony campaign donors. You have wasted millions more on your measures, and you have turned our reputation from Surf City into MAGA City. News Flash, MAGA just got its clock cleaned November 4th. 2025. The only thing in worse shape than the MAGA name is the HB city finances. Which brings me to the November 18th meeting. Agenda Item 7: Presentation from Bob Page, Registrar of Voters (ROV) I am requesting that at least one of you ask Mr. Page how many cases of voter fraud there have been in HB. Have there been any reported, or prosecuted or convicted in the last 10 years? If so how many? You won't because you know the answer is Zero! Your whole voter ID scheme is just another way to divide our city and waste our money. Finally, I'll close by asking what you plan on doing about Michael Gates?Because I'm putting you on notice, his behavior/firing in DC, is not going away and we will find out what really happened, and why our disgraced ex-city attorney got fired by MAGA and you will own the choices you make now. I would like to see some clarification on multiple ballots sent to the same person, holes in the envelopes in different locations as well as being able to flash a phone light to see a vote thru an envelope. That being said-none of this goes away until we get rid of paper ballots sent all over the state with no regulations. I would like to see same day voting and allow provisions for absentee voting. Sincerely, Jeanne Paris sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone From: Carol D, To: CITY COUNCIL(INCL.CMO STAFF';5uoolementalcomm(a)surfcity-hb.orq Subject: Support of 25-902--Bob Page presentation Date: Monday,November 17,2025 2:11:01 PM Dear City Council Members, Thank you for inviting Bob Page to speak at the November 18 City Council meeting. I'm confident that after you hear Mr. Page's presentation, you will agree that our electoral system in Orange County is 100% safe and secure. Over many years, there have been no concrete instances of voter fraud in Huntington Beach. If somebody tries to cheat the system, they are caught and are severely punished. I am concerned that if you pursue local elections in HB, we,the taxpayers of Huntington Beach, will be hit with costly litigation from the state since your plan is unlawful in the state of California. Even if it were possible, residents would be inconvenienced having to vote at two separate locations for national/state and local elections. Furthermore, have you ever provided citizens with the cost of running local city elections? Why try to fix something that isn't broken, especially if it involves an exorbitant solution. Maybe now's the time to admit that this entire plan was simply a MAGA-inspired political stunt that doesn't have merit. Regarding voter ID,the vast majority of HB and OC voters mail in their ballots or use drop boxes, so why would you push voter ID for the few voters who cast their ballots at vote centers? In this most recent election on November 4, 2025, in Orange County 631,417 voted by mail and only 112,824 voted in person. That works out to: 84.8% by vote-by-mail/drop box and 15.2%was in-person! Do you really want to turn back the clock and make HB voters show up in person to vote for city officials? They don't want to do that! On another note, I feel strongly that you should rescind your offer of employment to MIchael Gates for the assistant attorney position after he was terminated by the Trump administration for what appears to be inappropriate work performance and behavior. Shouldn't his firing for inappropriate behavior be a red flag in the hiring process? Thank you, Carol Daus HB resident Switzer Donna From: Rick Ingram <rick@cadcrew.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 5:30 PM To: supplementalcomm@surfcity-hb.org Subject: Mr. Page and election integrity. You don't often get email from rick@cadcrew.com. Learn why this is important Tonight Mr. Page will address the council regarding the OC ROV election security. Some important questions to ask Mr. Page: SS numbers are available on the black market and have been acquired by those who have entered the US illegally and are used for employment purposes. In addition, any person can apply for a CA Driver's license and by checking a box, signal they are a legal citizen. What system is in place to verify these voter registrations? Does the OC ROV track how many voters fail to respond to the ROV's outgoing letter and affidavit requesting signature verification? These would all be considered disenfranchised voters. City Council Meeting - Council Member Items Report To: City Council From: Councilman Butch Twining Mayor Pat Burns Date: October 21, 2025 Subject: INVITATION TO ORANGE COUNTY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS TO PRESENT AT A HUNTINGTON BEACH CITY COUNCIL MEETING ISSUE STATEMENT In the last few weeks, I have received countless emails requesting that the Huntington Beach City Council ask Bob Page, the Orange County Registrar of Voters (OCROV), to address concerns about voting security in Orange County and Huntington Beach. On behalf of our constituents, we should extend an invitation for the OCROV to speak at an upcoming City Council meeting regarding election integrity and voter engagement. Insights on such topics as voter identification, election administration, and efforts to prevent voter fraud will help inform both the public and the City Council on how the OCROV manages elections, ensures transparency, and bolsters the democratic process. I hope the other Council members will agree with you and vote YES to help educate HB voters about our county's voting system and the steps that the OCROV takes to ensure that voting is safe and secure. OCROV voting experts are much better prepared at providing accurate information about OC and HB voting than outside political groups like Unite4Freedom, which has a poor track record throughout the country when it comes to identifying and providing accurate voting data. It is important that you,and the public, hear the truth about our elections in Huntington Beach and Orange County. I would also suggest that YOU on the council take a tour of OC Registrar Voters Operations as soon as you can arrange one. My husband and I went last week and were incredibly impressed by the security in all of the stages of counting the ballots. This presentation will provide valuable information—some residents may take these systems for granted, while others may have questions. It's important for our community to better understand the robust measures in place to protect election integrity and ensure public confidence in our local elections. The OC ROV has an impeccable record of transparency and accuracy and this information should be shared with the City's residents. Depending upon the timing of this presentation, and assuming that the OC ROV accepts the invitation, I encourage each of you to take a guided tour of the OC ROV's facilities and see the ballot distribution, collection, and verification of votes for yourself. Please see for yourself by taking a tour of the OC ROV's facilities. Several years ago, I participated in one of these tours and invited a friend who was an adamant believer that mail- in balloting is rife with fraud. He came away from the tour believing that the OC ROV accurately collects and counts votes, and he acknowledged this many times to others. Paula A. Schaefer
