Pu rsuant to City Charter Section 31 0(a), City Clerk Lisa Lane Barnes requested, and was granted,
permission to be absent.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF SUPPLEMENTAL COMMUNICATIONS PERTAINING TO CLOSED SESSION
ITEMS (Received After Agenda Distribution) -None
PUBLIC COMMENTS PERTAINING TO CLOSED SESSION ITEMS -None
Mayor McKean read titles for Closed Session Items #1 (26-389) and #2 (26-390) Conference with
Labor Negotiators regarding Employee Organizations: Huntington Beach Police Officers'
Association (HBPOA) and Police Management Association (PMA).
Chief Assistant City Attorney Paul D'Alessa ndro announced that he is serving in place of City Attorney
Mike Vigliotta for this meeting as City Attorney Vigliotta is representing the City in an all -day labor
mediation of a contested matter. Chief Assistant City Attorney D'Alessandro also announced that at the
last City Council/Public Financing Authority meeting Closed Session, the City Counc il unanimously
approved the initiation of litigation vs Surf City Partners, LLC for the recove ry of unpaid rent.
A motion was made by Kennedy, with a second by Van Der Mark, to recess to Closed Session .

next regularly scheduled meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council/Public Financing Authority on
Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in the Civic Center Council Chambers, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach,
California .
