A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL
OF APPLICATION(S) FOR ALL CALRECYCLE GRANTS
FOR WHICH THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH IS ELIGIBLE
WHEREAS, Public Resources Code authorizes the Department of Resources Recycling
and Recovery (CalRecycle)to administer various grant programs; and
In furtherance of this authority, CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing
the administration of the Grant Programs; and
CalRecyle grant application procedures require, among other things, an applicant's
governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the administration of
CalRecycle grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby
resolve as follows:
1. The City authorizes the City of Huntington Beach to submit an application to
CalRecycle for all Grant Programs offered; and
2. The City Manager or his/her designee is hereby authorized as Signature Authority
to execute in the name the City of Huntington Beach all grant documents, including but not
limited to, applications, agreements, amendments and requests for payment, necessary to secure
grant funds and implement the approved grant project; and
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of September , 2026.

I, LISA LANE BARNES, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of the
City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a Regular meeting thereof held on September 15, 2026 by the following vote:
AYES: Gruel, Kennedy, Twining, McKeon, Burns, Van Der Mark, Williams
